Population explosion 1

Urmi Banerjee
Today, another scenario caught my attention. I went to book my railway ticket under Tatkal scheme wherein one can book ticket only two days prior to the date of journey rather than the normal practice of booking the ticket at least two months ago.I reached the railway ticket booking counter at 4:15 AM. I was shocked to see the crowd there as if it was a mid-day in a shopping center or a busy stock exchange.
Such a huge no of people against a negligible number of seats or bearth to be booked? What is creating the problem. I think the population.
For me it was annoying not because I would not be able to book the ticket. It was annoying because of the question that came to my mind..."Have we already entered the phase of population explosion?" Simple question but the concern. Very dangerous. I am sure, very few people actually think about population explosion.
If such a situation happens now, what if we look ten years down the line.

Nature

Yesterday I was watching a documentary in one of the news channels describing about the wildfire in callifornia. It was also a comparison with most of the other dagerous wild fires in the world. One sentence caught my attention. "It is a dangerous and massive wild fire but fortunately no one has died in this mishap".

Why dont we say, "Lot of people died but fortuantely there was no harm to the wild life." Why should we be worried about our lives and dont worry about the nature's life. And we end up saying that hudreds of acres of lands were desearted but no one died. Why is it important for human being to live when the contribution to the nature by us is almost negligible

Why? Why is this life? Why do we mourn when someone demises? When we are about to die, why are we told or rather encouraged that we should live... but why? What is the significance of living? Just for the purpose of enjoying the time? Well, enjoyed? Yes, but how far? Most of the people would life to hold themselves back from this "how far" question. Because? Because they also dont know themselves. Coz there is no end of greed.

Here is a scenario, please try to analise and answer it to yourself. Suppose you find yourself in a situation where you have been suffering from a serious desease. You konw that you might die. What would you think at that time when you know that you have a little time left on this earth. Now would you be satisfied thinking that you have enjoyed a lot in life, or would you like to do something for which people can remember you forever. Something that you could have done for making your life worth living. I think most of the people would go the second option. The question might come to everyone's mind as to what did we do living so far to regret about our possible death. Apparently nothing. So most of our lives does not have any significance. Because we do not do what we have been sent for.

Does it make sense?
